Key requirements:
- Must be a public agency (or private entity with public highway involvement)
- Damage must be from qualifying emergency or disaster
- Project must be on eligible federal-aid highway system
SBA Trucking Investment Program
U.S. Small Business Administration
For-profit trucking companies with fewer than 500 employees. Supports equipment purchases, technology upgrades, and safety improvements.
Key requirements:
- Must be registered as a trucking company or motor carrier
- US DOT or state operating authority required
- Business operational for at least 12 months
CDFA Capital Access Program for Trucking
Community Development Financial Institutions Fund (CDFI)
Minority-owned, women-owned, and veteran-owned trucking firms can access matching capital through CDFI-approved lenders.
Key requirements:
- Must be certified as minority-owned, women-owned, or veteran-owned
- Must work with a CDFI-approved lender
- Minimum 2 years in operation
Texas TXDOT Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program
Texas Department of Transportation
Texas-based trucking companies can receive funding to improve safety compliance, purchase safety technology, and train drivers. Priority given to small carriers under 50 trucks.
Key requirements:
- Must be a Texas-registered motor carrier (TXDOT authority)
- Company fleet under 100 power units
- Must have USDOT number and active MC authority
California CARB Truck Loan Assistance Program
California Air Resources Board (CARB)
California trucking companies replacing or upgrading to cleaner trucks can access subsidized loans and grants for zero-emission or near-zero-emission vehicle purchases.
Key requirements:
- Must be registered and operate in California
- Existing truck must be pre-2010 model year for replacement programs
- Company must have CARB-recognized carrier status
